Dear Parents and Guardians,
Due to a temporary water outage affecting the Town of Benton this evening, we will likely be placed under a boil advisory, which is a standard safety precaution after a loss of water pressure.
To help ensure students stay hydrated, we are asking that students bring bottled water from home if possible.
Please know that the school will also have bottled water available for any student who needs it.

🎺 Big time moment for BMS Band! 🎺 The Benton Middle School Symphonic Band earned Sweepstakes at State Assessment this year—an incredible accomplishment!👏 Judges had nothing but great things to say, especially about the band taking on challenging music and performing it at such a high level! And now for the best part… As their reward, the students get to choose Mr. Pernici’s haircut. We’ll be waiting for the reveal!👀✂️ Way to go, BMS Band!💜💛

💜💛What a week at BMS!💜💛 Staff Appreciation Week was full of thoughtful surprises, great food, and so many moments that reminded us just how supported our staff truly is. We don’t take that for granted!✨ A huge thank you to our incredible community partners—Krewe Customs, Simply Chic Boutique, Sonic, Streetcar Snoballs, and Auntie Anne’s—for showing up for our staff in such a generous way. Your support helped make this week extra special! We’re also so thankful for all of our amazing families who poured into our staff throughout the week—you made a bigger impact than you probably realize!💛 And a special thank you to Jennifer Lee for the surprise cookie cakes on Friday… such a sweet way to end the week!🍪🎉 BMS is better because of the people who stand behind it. We are truly grateful for every single one of you!💜

Friday at BMS felt like a breath of fresh air and a whole lot of love!🧺🐝 It was such a fun day with snacks, sweets, and Sonic drinks carrying us into the weekend! Day 3 = Picnic Perfection!🧺🌼 Our BMS staff was treated to the sweetest picnic-style lunch today, and we are so grateful! A big thank you to our amazing BMS PTO for providing lunch from Woody’s Smoke-N-Que and to the Jake Milligan & Whitley Netherton families for the delicious Great American Cookie Cakes!🍪 We also want to give a special thank you to Simply Chic for being a valued community partner and spoiling our staff with the cutest socks and accessories—such a fun and thoughtful touch!🛍️💛 We also want to recognize Sharon Smith and Cathy Hembree for serving and bringing so much joy to our campus today!💛 Days like this remind us just how supported and appreciated our staff truly is. Day 1 of Staff Appreciation Week was a picnic done right!🧺❤️ Our BMS staff was treated to Southern Graze charcuterie boxes for lunch, along with canned drinks to enjoy throughout the week!
