Congrats to the Parkway Speech & Debate team who competed in Lafayette, LA this past weekend. Clayton Marshall placed 1st in Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate Holden Miller placed 2nd in Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate and a Top Speaker Award Malaki Koury was a finalist in oral interpretation Aleigha Brandes was a finalist in Original Oratory Audrianna Torres, Molly Donelson, and Paighton Edwards were semi finalists in Novice Impromptu Speaking Malaki Koury, Savannah Smith, and Brianna Brinkerhoff were semi finalists in Advanced Impromptu Speaking

The Bossier Schools Distance Learning Program allows students from across the district the opportunity to take courses that may not have been available in the past or on their campus. Each month, two students are recognized for going above and beyond expectations and who care about their academic success. Parkway High's Jayden Pye was selected by the distance learning teachers and facilitators to be the first distance learning Student of the Month. His teacher and facilitator wrote, “Jayden is a steady and committed student. Day in and day out. He provides a great example to his peers, both behavior and academics. He puts his best effort into his work. I truly appreciate his support he gives to his classmates. Each student knows they can turn to him for help with group work and signing since it is the American Sign Language class.”
