Coach Csoma and Coach Johnson are walking into the night with a smiles on their faces! BOTH of our CMS boys' basketball teams earned a WIN when they travelled to Rusheon's court this afternoon.
7th grade won with final score of 39-30. J Poland helped capture the victory with 12 pts in addition to S Heard's 11 pts and L Lewis's 10 pts. Several others chipped in baskets to boost the Cougars past the Rams!
8th grade jumped out on top 50-23. J Guidry and J Boudreaux led the way with 12 points each followed by K Moore and N Oselin with 6 points each. The 8th grade team secures another tally in the WIN column in district play!

We celebrated these two, hard-working ladies this week as part of Counselors' Week 2025. Kudos and many thanks to Mrs. Fontaine (left) and Ms. Taylor (right) for the excellent job they do each day. They wear so many hats at Cope and help us anytime we ask. They are one-of-a-kind, and we are 🍀SO LUCKY🍀 to have them part of our campus!
Attention CMS students that signed up to try out for the 2025-2026 Cheerleading squad. There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting this Thursday, Feb. 13th at 6:30 in the cafeteria. At least one parent MUST attend the meeting or you will not be able to try out. Again this meeting is only for those students that signed up last week. If you have any questions, please see Coach Mosura or Coach Porter.
CMS students, tomorrow is the LAST day to pay for your 5 days for $5 to your homeroom teacher. If you have paid your $5 by 8:00am tomorrow, you can wear a team jersey with jean OR sweatpants for Super Bowl Friday. If you do not participate in this fundraiser, please wear your regular school uniform tomorrow!
Our CMS 8th graders completed their Aerospace curriculum over the past nine days and celebrated the completion with an assembly today. Congratulations to Noah Harkins for earning the Ace of Aces! Thank you to all of you who came and supported our students. This is one of those memories they will have forever! We are so thankful for MSGT (Ret.) Barrow, USAF for leading and organizing this for our campus!
CMS - 5 days for $5......Students may pay $5 to wear special dress on 5 days during this semester. Money due by Feb 7th. Payments can be made via school cash OR cash to homeroom teachers no later than Feb. 7th (tomorrow)!

Tonight our CMS Basketballs teams hit the court against GMS.
Prior to the matchup, both teams met at half court to support and lift in prayer an injured GMS player . This show of sportsmanship and compassion is what makes us most proud!
7th graders put up a good fight, but came up a little short at the final buzzer. L Lewis 9pts, M Savannah 6pts, and S Heard 6pts. 26-36 was the final.
8th graders dominated 49-11. It was a great team effort!! J Boudreaux 12 pts, N White 7 pts, and J Guidry 7pts led the way with the most baskets.
Any CMS 7th grade student that is interested in trying out for the 2025-2026 Cheerleading squad…sign ups are open from Feb.3-7th. CMS cheer is for incoming 8th graders only. You can sign up through the school APP or with Coach Mosura or Coach Porter during your PE class. Sign-ups will close at 2:30 this Friday, Feb. 7th!
