The district's Celebration of Excellence was held this evening, and Cope's very own Student of Year, Hadleigh Fulghum, was recognized and walked away with an awesome gift! We are so proud of the way she represents herself, her family, and Cope Middle School. She definitely makes the "Cope Difference"! Kudos on a job well done, Hadleigh! CMS will always cheer loudly for you!

Each day of testing, students can earn an incentive ticket by putting forth their very best effort on the LEAP test, maintaining excellent behavior in their testing classroom, or utilizing great test taking strategies! We will draw 5 winners each day of testing.

Our Food Truck Frenzy is coming up on Wednesday, May 13th—the perfect way to celebrate the end of the year! Order forms went home today, and all orders are due by Friday, May 8th.
Students can enjoy a delicious lunch + drink for $12, with sweet treats available for purchase too! Don’t forget—electronic payments through School Cash Online are preferred, but forms still need to be turned in to homeroom teachers.
Want to spread some kindness? 💙 You can also sponsor a classmate with a donation of $10 or more.

To every student standing at the starting line of this week’s LEAP tests:
Take a deep breath. You’ve been climbing this mountain since the first day of school, and now you’re finally at the summit, ready to see the view. The classroom assignments, the practice problems, the essays, and the "aha!" moments have all led to this. You aren’t starting from scratch; you are simply showing up to claim the progress you’ve already made. Trust your gut, trust your preparation, and most importantly, trust yourself. We hope you walk into that room with your head held high. Not because you’re expected to be perfect, but because you know you’ve worked hard. No matter what-- we are already proud of the person you’ve become this year.
You’ve got this! Now show them what you know!

Free Athletic physicals for any and all students interested in participating at Airline will be held Saturday, May 9th. Students must bring the Airline release form AND the LHSAA physical form completed to the tryout. Please be at Airline bus ramp by 7:45am.
We have attached the forms here, but students can pick up the forms in the gym as well.
May 18; Softball and baseball @ 3:00; XC @ 6:00
May 19 - Volleyball @ 3:00; Boys Soccer @ 5:30
May 20 - Girs basketball @ 3:00
May 21 - Boys basketball @ 6:00
Football - June 1 @ 11:00

🎉Happy Administrative Professionals' Day! 🎉
These four people make our world go around at Cope Middle! They keep everything and everyone in line! They wear a multitude of "hats" that include greeting visitors and students, checking temperatures, calling parents, locating students, assisting with classroom tasks, deliver item around campus and the list goes on and on! We literally wouldn't know what to do without their help.
Thank you for being you and serving the CMS campus day in and day out. We appreciate each of you tremendously!

Thank you Bodacious BBQ in Bossier City for providing lunch to our faculty and staff yesterday! It was the perfect touch to keep us on track as we make our final push towards the end of the school year! The food was FANTASTIC; the organization was superb; and the efficiency was top notch!
