Good morning! Bossier Schools is on winter weather watch for the next two days, closely monitoring the forecast with the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and staying in close contact with the National Weather Service. We are meeting again today and will provide an update at 3 p.m. this afternoon regarding any adjustments to Thursday’s school schedule.
If you do not already have the Bossier Schools district app, this is a great time to download it so you will get the latest updates. Here’s how to find it:
1. Search ‘Bossier Schools’ in your phone’s app store and download the app.
2. Select ‘Personalize Notifications’ when prompted on initial download to ensure you receive notifications.
3. Then, select ‘Bossier Parish Schools.’


CMS 7th grade New Orleans Trip REMINDER! The 2nd payment for the NOLA trip is due this Friday, Jan 10th. Letters were sent home today with student. Please ask your student about it if they are planning to attend. Thank for your prompt attention!

Cope Middle is prepared and excited to welcome our students back tomorrow, Jan. 7th. Please dress warmly as we will have abnormally cold temperatures this week in the mornings. Make sure to follow our dress code and come to school being respectful, responsible, and safe!

CMS Art Field Trip 2024 - Our students visited Norton Art Gallery and had a great time learning about hieroglyphics, printmaking, clay and many other topics.










Our CMS Christmas tour was a success today! Thank you to our feeder schools for allowing our show choir, advanced band, cheerleaders, and danceline to come and spread some Christmas cheer today! We hope it started your holidays off with a smile!






Our CMS Christmas Choir concert was just what we needed to get us in the Christmas spirit! Great job to all of our choir students and Mr. Budgewater for a great performance!

REMINDER: The second payment for the trip is due January 10th! This is the Friday that we return from the holiday break.

A few of our Cope Ambassadors and Jr. Beta club members went to help decorate fallen soldiers' tombs today in coordination with Wreaths Across America. Mrs. Friedlund and Mrs. Vance helped monitor even though the weather wasn't ideal! This was such a great way for our students to support those who gave it all for us! 🇺🇸










CMS Christmas Dance is tomorrow!


Update for Friday, Dec. 13: No jeans for tomorrow. Christmas sweaters/sweatshirts with uniform bottoms only. We are having technical difficulties pulling the report for PBIS reward. We will try again soon. Sorry for the inconvenience and late notice.

As the holiday break gets near, the Elf of the Shelf appeared on our Cope campus! Lots of Christmas characters joined in on the fun as well!








The CMS 6th grade field trip to the bowling alley was a hit! Our students LOVED experiencing Newton's Laws of Motion in action. It was a great time had by our students and staff.






CMS Christmas Dance is this Friday! Students may wear a Christmas sweater to the dance. Student who have had no office referrals or after school detention may wear jeans to school and to the dance if they qualify as part of our PBIs reward. Homeroom teachers will have a list of students who qualify for free jeans day reward for Friday. The list will be updated throughout the week, so students should ask on Thursday!


CMS girls interested in trying out for our softball team--mark your calendars! This tryout is after our holiday break!


A few of our Cope Ambassadors alongside sponsors, Mrs. Ennis and Mrs. Friedlund, took part in the Red Kettle Challenge this morning in the cold weather to support Bossier Parish in the Salvation Army drive. Thank you for representing our school with a smile during this holiday season!
